The year 1967. On the outskirts of Dublin, Ireland, lies a community that marches to its own beat with deep traditional roots of loyalty, faith and friendship. In the town of Ballygar, the women dream of tasting freedom and escaping the domestic life. They all have the same hope of winning a raffle that is a pilgrimage to the sacred French town of Lourdes. With a little benevolent interference from a cheeky and rebellious priest, four close friends are the “lucky” winners of this ticket of a lifetime.
